On the water pump what are the negative effects of a high flow water pump??
Ex::: I can get a 12v water pump from work for 80.00 . The pump pulls 7.5 amps and start-up and 5 amps while pumping. It flows 225gph at 10psi. Will this pump hurt anything if I run it with a water intercooler? the water tank will hold 7 to 8 gallons of water plus the ice.

Should be fine, Rob - flow rates too high or too low don't allow the optimum length of dwell time in the heat exchanger... your GPH is a little low, but the ice will compensate pretty well.

We use 2 air to water intercoolers and 2 ice tanks, which both have live baitwell pumps in, 500 gph and work great

that is probably what I am going to end up doing or just fabbing 1 large ice tank.
