I had my DF165 instaled yesterday, should i be able to hear it running in the cab even while driving the truck is a QC/SB so the unit is right under the rear cab. Or is there anything I can do to quiet it some.

If it's drawing in air from somewhere, it can cause it to be louder than normal. If you mounted it to the frame, it helps to put a rubber barrier between it and the frame.
not necessarily. It's still building psi just with a little air mixed in. Cavitation will cause it to make noise. Not saying it's definitely the problem but, it's a start. My pump hums but, not loud.
Update, I put a piece of rubber between the frame and the bracket and between the aluminum spacer and the braket 80% of noise is gone. I can live with it now. thanks
Yes it is very helpful. Most do not take that advice and insist it is the pump. Glad you are all fixed up. Here are some things I've used that helped out alot. Put them on each corner or the AirDog that mounts to the bracket and stop the vibration right at the source.
