Any major differences from 01 to 04?

I know that the early trucks had a recall on injectors, and the newer ones had updated ones, but other than that, are there any real big differences? I have experience with maintaining my mothers 02, which had the injectors replaced. I recently found an 04 cc/lb auto 4x4 for a killer price. If I can swing it, I'd like to pick it up so that I have a nice 4 door, 4WD truck. Wouldn't go hogwild with it or anything, just a tune to help MPG, and some gauges.

Anyways, when it comes to the motor and the rest of the drivetrain, other than the injectors, were there any changes made over the run of the LB7? Thanks in advance.

Recall, no.Extended warranty, yes..There's a big difference there..

As far as the 01-04 LB7 run..They're pretty much the same. 01 trucks had different programming in the pcm, but other than that..same same.

Ok, I thought I had read a letter from GM that was a recall notice, but was mistaken. Sorry for the mixup.
