anyone swapped headlight switches, 98 to a 99 style?

have always had problems with the pull on/off style headlight switch in my early 98. melted a few in the early days, got the "fix kit" from dodge and it worked for a while. the cheap headlight switches from the chain parts stores are dropping like flies. right now i can only get my parking lights and dash lights to come on if i position the pull knob inbetween positions. so my question is, has anyone ever or know if it is possible to swap in a headlight switch from a 99 or 2000 model dodge into my early 98?
