ATS 2pc manifold

Anybody ever trim some of the extra casting out of one of these? Seems excessive, and extra heavy. I was thinking of leaving the tubes tied together at the head mount surface, but cutting out the majority of that webbing in between runners. Curious if anyone had tried this.

yes saw it done it crack soon after .. It must provide strength ... Cast is so picky

Iirc the extra material assists with thermal expansion and dissipation of heat. In return assisting life of unit.

In addition, I've ran a steed manifold and It was a hot piece under the hood even with a blanket. I've even seen them crack, but never have I seen a stainless piece crack.
