Usually sits stuck at 6 until I've been driving a while, then sometimes it starts working. If i romp on it when it's sticking, it'll peg and stay there. I think it started acting up around when the weather cooled off. From the 100F plus to the 70s. I don't know if temp might affect it. it's mounted on top of the dash in front of my face and in the sun in the windshield. maybe summer got it too hot? DWitcher's old truck, dunno how old it is.

Get a new gage or repair...?

Thanks

what series autometer? I had 2 phantom II pyrometers act up horribly and quit working, stuck at 600 degrees

Thanks

I emailed them. The said it's likely the probe. Pro-Comp Ultra-Lite

I had a problem with mine also. I replaced the probe as per AutoMeter and it still didnt work. They then asked where I had it grounded, and they said it needs to be grounded right to the engine block.
I ran some new wire a voila it worked again.
