back half?

I been looking at the 4-link back half kits that are 2x3 frame. Then I came across a chrome molly round tube kit. Is their a difference in them?

Balk half? Is that when you start to back half then stop and the runners advance a base?

Typically round tube kits are lighter, and moly ones are lighter yet, but they may be more difficult to connect into the factory frame (since the round tube relies on multiple smaller tubes for its strength rather than two main frame rails).
