Budget Beater!

Shout out to the guys over at Applied Racing Technology for getting me setup with a custom built ladder bar kit with dual adjustable QA1 coilovers. They have beefed everything up from their normal standards and are building it out of 1-3/8" x .095 chromoly. I will still be running a leaf spring and everything will be Super Street legal.

Hopefully these will provide enough fuel to rocket ship me into the 9s! Dual fed 5x.024s with lots of lift! giggity giggity!

Well good news and bad news happened last night. Took her to the track to try and make it to 9s again. Truck hooked hard and lifted the driver front tire off the ground cutting a 1.54 60'. Hit the big shot of spray right out of the whole and let her eat almost the entire way until the turbo said no more and went full retard. Rolled through the traps with a 10.01 @ 131. 9s are the devil!

Great video when you watch it on a full-size screen!!!! Quite the boom when it let go, any idea how much boost it was making with the gates blocked off and "all the nitrous"?

Turbo is the only thing that was damaged. Well that and the exhaust pipe has a sweet spiral in it all the way to the stack.

No idea on boost. I used that gauge port to deliver boost to the gates to shut them haha.

On your 10.01 run, were you still running the old rear suspension, or was that on the new ladder bar setup?
Also, why coilovers AND leafs?

Same old leaf sprung suspension.

Coil overs for more adjustability and leafs to stay super street legal.

Good reason for cross bolts in the downpipe, I've been thinking about adding them to mine being I run a short hood stack. Crazy the amount of energy that far back in the bed stack. I enjoy your updates, good luck with 9's!!

Looks good!!! Now tow it 3 hrs south to our shop and lets see how it does on the big bad Mustang Dyno!!! Bring the spray!

Of course, you have a dyno at work with probably free after-hours access....

Fuel-only, your truck should destroy the Junker on the dyno with that 160 lb per minute charger!!! But will it do it "on the mountain" at high altitude with the limitations of mechanical fuel injection and fixed timing?

That sir is a good question. My answer to that is yes. There is always room for more spray.

Just started it a few minutes ago with all the new changes and I'll straight up tell you this thing sounds completely different. She is one pissed off son of a gun now. I'm slightly scared but in a good way.
