budget racer to 13.98

wish I was closer, I would love to tinker with the 97........ Do you have caltracs or the likes on it?

I put on Shambo Tracs Cost me about $74.00 and work pretty good!

The wheels are sticking like Glue!

How much does your Budget Racer Weigh?

i have no idea. its all stock. so i guess around 5800lbs or so.

i made some Alabama tracs! $28.00 in steel and $14.00 in some bushings. it ran a best 1.72 60ft with cords showing on a set of 29.5/10.5's

If I could get my Junker to hook like that 1.7 60ft, it would be much quicker for sure. These 2.3 60ft's aren't going to cut it. In fact, I'll bet my truck runs 110 MPH before it breaks into the 12's.

I have done a 1.9 60' before I need to figure out my boosted launched with my racemasters

went to steele tonight with the trud 12v. first pass was good.
1.63 60ft
7.48@91.46
11.79@110.20
i guess the new 31/10.5W are hookin. headgasket started to leak after that pass so i called it quits for the night. not sure yet on what i will do for a fix(o-ring,firering or just +.020 marine). this motor has 321,625 miles on it as of tonight so we will see how it looks when i pull the head.

Good job man! Just curious how hot do you get with that stock charger, when I was running no plate with 5x0.014's and 4k's on stock turbo I could peg my pyro quick

What kind of boost are you generating?

52psi was max. left the line at 20psi. i had drove the truck up there last night so after the headgasket started to leak i put 2 cans of rad stop leak in her and drove it 58miles home. after 15 miles into the trip it about stoped and by the time i got home it stop all together.

How wide of a rim are you running with the 10.5s? and who's 10.5s?

15x10 white steel wagon wheels ( $9.00 each for thrift store) and M/T 31x10.5Wx15 ($100 at swap meet)

13.500@99.26 mph

I ran the 2002 RCLB Duramax/Allison today and had a best of 13.500 @ 99.26 mph. The truck has a completly stock transmission and engine with 181000 miles. The only mods are EFI Live, K&N intake, ppe boost valve, Flowmaster muffer on the stock exhaust, 285x75x16 BFG AT's on stock aluminum rims, tierod sleeves, centerlink support and a race weight of 6500#

Ran at an 1/8 mile track last night and ran a 8.35 @85.5. That should put it in the low 13s to high 12s in the 1/4 OSW next time to see what she will do.

Congratulations!

My personal best so far had an 8.355 1/8th @ 89.48 and ended up 12.724 @ 111.98.

Based on our MPH difference at the 1/8th, unless you're running a big single turbo or twins, you probably won't run as quick on the top end of the track but you're definitely right at the 13 flat to 12.90 range.

That is kind of what I figured I'll try to get to speed world this Friday when they reopen to see what it will do!

nice times, I wish I had a track around me open right now to see where my truck stands on the stock turbo, should be able to hit 14's easily. but i've never held it wide open for 1/4 mile. So who knows how it will run.
