What do you think about the parameters I used in Matchbot when doing calculations for Volvo D16 with Garrett GT50 ? Compressor is 82/118 that should flow about 124 lbs and turbine is 99/91 with housing machined from 1.23 GT47 so maybe 1.15 or something. I read somewhere that 99/91 with 1.08 housing flows about the same as BW 96/88 with 1.32 housing so thats where I tried to match it. Wastegate is set so tight that it shouldnt open under 38 psi. Turbine side is the difficult part of matching, some numbers seem a little bit strange. http://www.turbos.bwauto.com/aftermarket/matchbot/index.html#version=1.3&displacement=16.1&CID=982.4220000000001&altitude=500&baro=14.502&aat=75&turboconfig=1&compressor=110s75&pt1_rpm=950&pt1_ve=100&pt1_boost=21&pt1_ie=90&pt1_filres=0.5&pt1_ipd=1&pt1_mbp=1&pt1_ce=63&pt1_te=77&pt1_egt=1580&pt1_ter=1.82&pt1_pw=NaN&pt1_bsfc=0.39&pt1_afr=17&pt1_wts=300&pt1_wd=83&pt1_wd2=74&pt1_wrsin=69033&pt2_rpm=1100&pt2_ve=92&pt2_boost=37&pt2_ie=90&pt2_filres=0.5&pt2_ipd=1&pt2_mbp=1.5&pt2_ce=69&pt2_te=74&pt2_egt=1490&pt2_ter=2.46&pt2_pw=0.37&pt2_bsfc=0.39&pt2_afr=17&pt2_wts=320&pt2_wd=83&pt2_wd2=74&pt2_wrsin=73635&pt3_rpm=1500&pt3_ve=90&pt3_boost=44&pt3_ie=90&pt3_filres=1&pt3_ipd=1.5&pt3_mbp=2&pt3_ce=70&pt3_te=70&pt3_egt=1450&pt3_ter=3.34&pt3_pw=4.94&pt3_bsfc=0.39&pt3_afr=17&pt3_wts=340&pt3_wd=83&pt3_wd2=74&pt3_wrsin=78238&pt4_rpm=1800&pt4_ve=85&pt4_boost=44&pt4_ie=85&pt4_filres=1&pt4_ipd=2&pt4_mbp=2&pt4_ce=68&pt4_te=68&pt4_egt=1450&pt4_ter=3.66&pt4_pw=4.69&pt4_bsfc=0.4&pt4_afr=17&pt4_wts=368&pt4_wd=83&pt4_wd2=74&pt4_wrsin=84681&pt5_rpm=2200&pt5_ve=83&pt5_boost=36&pt5_ie=85&pt5_filres=1&pt5_ipd=2&pt5_mbp=2&pt5_ce=65&pt5_te=63&pt5_egt=1310&pt5_ter=3.83&pt5_pw=0.01&pt5_bsfc=0.4&pt5_afr=17&pt5_wts=400&pt5_wd=83&pt5_wd2=74&pt5_wrsin=92044&pt6_rpm=2800&pt6_ve=80&pt6_boost=25&pt6_ie=85&pt6_filres=1&pt6_ipd=2&pt6_mbp=2&pt6_ce=65&pt6_te=63&pt6_egt=1050&pt6_ter=3.46&pt6_pw=0.01&pt6_bsfc=0.4&pt6_afr=17&pt6_wts=400&pt6_wd=83&pt6_wd2=74&pt6_wrsin=92044&

Well since no one has posted on this thread I guess I will be the first. The numbers that stick out most to me are the turbine and wastegate numbers. Going from needing a wastegate diameter requirement of 12mm at 1500rpm to need essentially zero flow at 2200rpm doesn't really sit well with me.

That just doesn't match the needs and requirements of most engines I have ever delt with at full throttle. I could be totally off but those numbers don't make sense in the real world to me. It is also saying wastegate flow choked at 1500rpm which doesn't make sense either. The compressor side however looks pretty darn good to me.

We need to cut fuel/boost after 1500 rpm to prevent choking/overspeeding the charger, that's why power is a little bit over 1000 hp from 1800rpm to 2800rpm. Rpm is raised only to get more flexibility. With bigger turbo I could stretch it much further but then I'd lose low rpm driveability, I want it to work from 1000 rpm upwards like stocker.

But like I said, I don't quite understand the turbine side of this calculator. We'll see if we never get the ECM tuning like I want to.

Is the 1.23ar the undevided no gate housing? I would say the gt50 turbine should flow a good bit more than the borg turbine. I would bet borgs compressor would work better. The garrett wheels seem to favor lower pressure ratios.

Some other thread said 58 lbs, maybe that's closer to thruth.

It's 1.23 gated divided stock Volvo housing machined for GT 50 turbine.

this is where we got after yesterday ECM work, more rpm should be possible, this was just first version. Also boost pressure when bobtailing on level ground dropped from 4.4 PSI to 2.9 PSI, meaning timing map changes work like they should. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OPuWdtOfH5c

New Matcbot with 58 lbs turbine flow http://www.turbos.bwauto.com/aftermarket/matchbot/index.html#version=1.3&displacement=16.1&CID=982.4220000000001&altitude=500&baro=14.502&aat=75&turboconfig=1&compressor=110s75&pt1_rpm=950&pt1_ve=104&pt1_boost=21&pt1_ie=90&pt1_filres=0.5&pt1_ipd=1&pt1_mbp=1&pt1_ce=63&pt1_te=78&pt1_egt=1700&pt1_ter=1.74&pt1_pw=0.05&pt1_bsfc=0.39&pt1_afr=17&pt1_wts=300&pt1_wd=83&pt1_wd2=74&pt1_wrsin=69033&pt2_rpm=1100&pt2_ve=97&pt2_boost=37&pt2_ie=90&pt2_filres=0.5&pt2_ipd=1&pt2_mbp=1.5&pt2_ce=69&pt2_te=74&pt2_egt=1600&pt2_ter=2.33&pt2_pw=0.3&pt2_bsfc=0.39&pt2_afr=17&pt2_wts=320&pt2_wd=83&pt2_wd2=74&pt2_wrsin=73635&pt3_rpm=1500&pt3_ve=90&pt3_boost=44&pt3_ie=90&pt3_filres=1&pt3_ipd=1.5&pt3_mbp=2&pt3_ce=70&pt3_te=72&pt3_egt=1560&pt3_ter=2.99&pt3_pw=5.06&pt3_bsfc=0.39&pt3_afr=17&pt3_wts=340&pt3_wd=83&pt3_wd2=74&pt3_wrsin=78238&pt4_rpm=1800&pt4_ve=85&pt4_boost=44&pt4_ie=85&pt4_filres=1&pt4_ipd=2&pt4_mbp=2&pt4_ce=68&pt4_te=70&pt4_egt=1560&pt4_ter=3.25&pt4_pw=5.46&pt4_bsfc=0.4&pt4_afr=17&pt4_wts=368&pt4_wd=83&pt4_wd2=74&pt4_wrsin=84681&pt5_rpm=2200&pt5_ve=83&pt5_boost=36&pt5_ie=85&pt5_filres=1&pt5_ipd=2&pt5_mbp=2&pt5_ce=65&pt5_te=64&pt5_egt=1410&pt5_ter=3.44&pt5_pw=0.04&pt5_bsfc=0.4&pt5_afr=17&pt5_wts=400&pt5_wd=83&pt5_wd2=74&pt5_wrsin=92044&pt6_rpm=2800&pt6_ve=80&pt6_boost=25&pt6_ie=85&pt6_filres=1&pt6_ipd=2&pt6_mbp=2&pt6_ce=65&pt6_te=64&pt6_egt=1150&pt6_ter=3.11&pt6_pw=0.3&pt6_bsfc=0.4&pt6_afr=17&pt6_wts=400&pt6_wd=83&pt6_wd2=74&pt6_wrsin=92044&
