Cal Tracs

I made my own...I used the CalTrac axle bracket then made a 6'4" bar forward to the frame rail with a urethane bushing on the end.

Clamping the springs is the only thing that works well at the track for me. $10.00 and just remove them after done racing.

I'm looking into other ways and will be talking with a couple chassis builders to see what might be the best bet for 4x4's

I've ran a set of Caltracs for years with the springs clamped together, the do good but really work the best with a really good stiff shock in the back. I run a Rancho 9000 set on max for traction and hop control, the drop them to the lowest for driving along with dropping the pre-load on the bars.

i have had good luck with mine. as far as hopping goes, i found on my truck that tire pressure plays a big role. if i can figure out tire pressure, i can spin the chit out of my tires with out any hop
