Changing to smaller valves and re-porting.

Out of curiosity could a head that had larger seats and oversized valves installed be changed back to smaller valves and have the porting re-done? I'd love to try a better flowing head on my current engine for an apples to apples comparison and if it could be re-done without costing an arm and a leg i'd consider it.

I would sell it and start over with a different one. Once you remove the material you can't put it back. Maybe you can fine tune the port job.

Head your wanting to buy or your head, I'm guessing you could have all new seats put in and reconture them to the existing ports. Are you hunting for a stock 24v head?
