I am needing to clean my dry flow filter and I have been told by people that you can use simple green to clean it with. any one else done this? Or is there any other tricks to get it clean? Or is it better to just buy the cleaning kit?

Thanks

I always used compressed air and tapping it on the concrete.

Compressed air is what I used. I have read that if you blow too hard too close it can damage the filter.. Letting larger debris in.

the afe's can be washed.... I talked with them back when i bought mine and you can either wash with soap and water or a mild degreaser like simple green.... but wet the filter first for dilution

The AEM DryFlow I had wasn't. Those BHAF's are fairly cheap though if your not counting your pennies.

I replace them when they turn black. $60 for the afe pro dry. Maybe 40,000 miles. Oem filteres are $35/15000 miles. Still a better deal
