Cool! Looks like they did an awesome job of it. Did they polish it out?

SuperSonic,
That is chrome like application, bad to the bone-----

02 dodge4x4 5.9, joefarmer,
The coating is done that way. No polishing first or ever.:thankyou2:

Can I do the entire motor????????:hehe:

Damn! that looks Cool Man! Any word on how it holds up to heat?

Timbeaux38,

That is the ceramic coating they do for their exhaust pieces. It will stand up to anything I throw at it. The coater does the alcohol funny car across the street exhaust, its one of his sponsors.:ft:
I think it will hold up quite well, don't you?
Still love the doggy picture-------
The important part is that the coater said it would make the truck faster :hehe: .

Very nice. May I Inquire? What was the cost of your boredom?

Snedge,

Thus far its been only $310 to have the first round done.:woohoo:
The pan, intercooler tubes & support brace for the radiator will be next. I don't have a final bill on those parts.
The starter & alternator rebuild before painting & coating were done by my neighbor Wickman Electric for a small fee.

So thats the costs so far.
Does that give you an idea that you may want to do it ?
Consider going to CaswellPlating.com for info & or purchase of your own. I got my polishing wheels & compounds from them.:thankyou2:
