coolant Leak

I've been noticing a small puddle of coolant under the driver side front bumper when I park. I've seen some recent posts about coolant issue but this isn't head gaskets. Truck is completly stock with 64k miles. Didn't think I'd be having issues all ready but maybe it's something minor? Truck is a 2008 6.4

Radiators seem to be a fairly common problem. I have a friend who went through three before the truck reached 100k, his was an 08 also.

So is this a dealer warranty work or is it an out of pocket thing? Kinda seems like a lot of people are having problems.

Check the rad hose connections. They have internal o-rings that can leak.

generally bad t-stat causes tank to separate and low coolant causes cracks in the cores. ford tech hotline has a special prior approval process just for the 6.4 radiator

I think he had topay for it out of pocket. Ford is pretty stingy on warranty

I'd find a new dealer for warrenty work then as its a noted problem on 08 job 1 trucks. I know my local dealer has done several radiators on 08's with no hassle from the dealer over warrenty

Thats what i told him too, but he decided he rather have a new truck. haha
