Cornpro gooseneck equipment trailer $5000

Why you selling it? Looks like a nice trailer. What year? Any trades?
 
I'm looking to upgrade to a hydraulic dovetail. If I remember correctly its a 2000 or maybe a 99. I would take partial trades for a 6' finish mower and or grader blade. A small 6x12 open utility trailer with gate. I really don't know what else. The price is negotiable so feel free to shoot some offers. If the trailer doesn't sell before my new trailer arrives then I will just trade it in.
 
Damn that's a steal for that trailer. Same trailer around here everyone wants $7500+ I would be on it if it had a self cleaning dove tail and was closer.
 
Oil bath dexters I imagine? Does it have a torque tube or anything like that?
 
Yeah the axles are oil bath dexter axles. No torque tube or anything like that. I never noticed much flex or twist in it. The deck is straight on it. The rub rails have some bends in them but no welds are broken or cracked anywhere that I have seen. I'm hoping later in the week to get it pulled out and cleaned up really good and snap some more pictures and post them up.
 
If anybody is interested just call or text 812-630-4079. I'm located in southern Indiana 47564. The trailer isn't in perfect condition but its plenty sturdy and pulls well. I've had the dovetail up on it a few times and it levels up good and straight and doesn't have any slop in it whether its up or down. If anybody has any full or partial trades just let me know. It says its a 9 ton trailer. It has 9k pound dexter axles. I will look on the tag and see if it has any other information.

What ever you buy, make sure and check out the safety latch that keeps it from falling if a cylinder lets loose or a hose breaks. Make sure it is adjusted and will work without failure.

Mine is a 21ft with 9ft dove. It gets real steep on flat ground. If you are going to load cars or low 2wd trucks, you might need a set of aluminum pony ramps. $.02

I was wondering about that. I thought about going with a 20+10 just to knock down some of the angle. I will probably set up some pony ramps that I can use to load utvs with anyways. It would be nice to have a universal ramp I could do both with. Thanks for all the input
 
You won't have any trouble with UTV's. The problem you'll find is when loading a 2wd 4-door or mega cab dually is that the cross member will drag the trailer hinge once your front tires cross over the hinge. When I loaded one, I pulled up until the back wheels were on the dovetail and raised it up with the hydraulics.
 
I'm talking about when I load utvs on from the side. I should have been a little more specific. Have you ever ran into any trouble with the hydraulic system at all yet?
 
Oh. Gotcha. No hyd problems. I think I bought mine in 2011 new so it is 3 yrs old. No drips or leaks. It also has a maintainer built in so I can just plug a cord to it in the barn and keep the battery up. Mine has the Alko axles and the inner seals leak. Get Dexter if you can. Screw these Chinese SOB's.

Pic below hit the scale at just over #34,000 lbs gross. 9000ft of 7/8 rod and a few hundred feet of 2 3/8 offset pipe. Truck and trailer weigh in a #16,000. Trailer is a heavy bastard.
 
Definitely going dexters. I haven't heard much good about any alkos. I'm glad to hear they hold up good. This will be the last trailer I buy for a looong time
