Dana 80

Hello
Don't wanna post this in the parts forum because i wanna get a hinch what a complete axle will cost. A used one with functionally gear and brakes.
Don't have the money right know but wanna know how much i need to save. :)

I'd just assume $1000 USD. You can find them cheaper, but 1000 is a good starting point.

Are you looking for single or dual wheel?

I have a drw dana 80 for sale with brand new drums and shoes. 3:55 gears and welded spiders. I am asking $600 if that give you an idea. It depends on the area. Normally I have no problem getting rid of a 3:55 geared dana 80 at that price.

A srw dana 80 with disc brakes takes $800-1000+ all day to buy around here though.

I paid maybe $200 for my D80 when my D70 gave me warnings its on the way out.

FYI: my brakes on the D70 was fairly new and all I had to do was take the 4 nuts off and slid the backing plate off as an assembly and bolt it right up to the D80.

Need help again to determine if it's a Dana 70 or 80 axle. :)

According to the seller it should be a Dana 80 but wanna be sure since i can't have a look at it before i buy it.

The the 7 digit number behind the 4.10 is the BOM number. You can go to Dana's website and punch in that number, it'll give you a breakdown of what the axle is, and part numbers for various parts kits.

Great, thanks for info about that.
Only thing i really would like to get confirmed now is if it's an SRW axle or an Dually?

SRW. The backing plate for the brakes is relatively flat. A DRW backing plate is much more contoured, and sits further inside the drum.
