This is in reference to the Common Rail Oil Filter Relocation kit:

DESTROKED: Cummins Conversions

For any users out there:

What was your before and after oil pressure numbers?

I used to idle around 30-40 psi oil pressure.

Cruising, 1800-2200 RPM, 60-65 psi oil pressure.

After using the oil filter relocation kit, it now idles at 80 psi, and maxes out the gauge (100+ psi) at 1500 rpm free revving.

All the gaskets have been used properly. This is the "new" kit that uses the factory spring, relief valve, and cap that's located on the factory oil filter housing.

How do I fix this?

Denny it sounds like you have a Dump to Pump setup and it recirculated the blow-off pressure back into the pump inlet compounding the pressure. try pulling the spring out of the pressure relief and run it for a second to check pressure (should be lower) if not the cooler plate gasket may be wrong. I have somewhere gasket id's for each type of system. I will email ya if I find it.

Thanks Tim.

I would suspect that the oil pressure is not overcoming the spring on the relief valve.

Strange that this would happen. All the oil filter relo kit parts, including the gaskets, are from Destroked.

Thank you again for the input. And Please let me know what you find on the gasket P/N's.
