yes boys and girls it's that time of the month again! this month with all the cancellations we didn't get our fix of diesel drag racing. so on june 7th were back at the track for another diesel specialists funday sunday at orlando speed world drag strip. as usual gates open at 10:00am it's 10.00 bucks to enter 5.00 more to race all day. this event gets bigger and bigger every time we have one. so if ur like me, and you like to race, drink beer, and like ur brauts well done on the grill. you need to be there. camping is near by. so who's going?
 
I'm in! Should have a black Excursion with us.

I was thinking of camping but would rather get a hotel room. I would like to see the shop also.

sounds like a plan. i guess i'll have to get the broom and mop out and clean the shop, damn! let us know what time ur coming in on sat. we know of a few bar/resteraunts.

probably not chris, that's a heluva drive. we would love to go. to see wayne and the 4-bt as well as u guys, but at this point we are plumbing the holset twins on the new truck.
 
it would be nice to see turbo matt, and wrongway come over to play?

No Chris. My question is why didn't NHRDA have more races in Florida? I had 6 trucks ready to race this season but when they found out that we only had one race in Florida they canceled, as did I.

We had 3 races in Div 4 last year, all 3 were in FL. How is that fair to the other 9 states in Div 4? As I explained this year would be a growing year, those tracks that have killer attendance will get more events in the local area. I explained all this last November at Gainesville, it could no longer be division Fl. If Gainesville has a good showing we can look at a 2nd event next year in FL.

I'd have been there 4 sure, but I already made plans for Indy :-(

Yea, I wish there were more events in Florida as well. We got 'spoilt last year! The good news is, Sept.19th South Ga. Motorspors park in Valdosta is a brand new 1/4 mile track, & it's only about 1 hour above Gainesville. Should be a bigger turnout than the Florida races, as most of the Georgia mafia will show up.

yeah i hear ya. i wish we were going to indy. but we blew our load on ts. and were so busy at the shop for me and kurt to take off for 4 days is tough.

Why not make more divisions? You can't have 9 states in a division. What you need to have is the same dates every year. This is what people want, like TS.

Im not busting your balls but I worked hard to get people to the track. You wouldn't believe the people that asked me about the 14" NHRDA sticker on the back of my truck. It was a big disapointment when the 2009 came out.
 
i hear ya pete. the closer the better. but it is hard to get some of these tracks to come around to our way of thinking. i know orlando speedway wants a minimum of 50 trucks before theye will even think of entertaining the idea. but me kurt and rodger are workin on them. maybe next yr.

well dont worry Kurt, im sure my nice fat bill i got racked up with you will help, my 93's pump went to junk also, so it looks like your doing another one.....i keep forgetting to call you.....
 
also guys there is a clay drag race going on sat the 6th of june that we will be at. the last one we were at we placed 2nd 3rd and fourh. neildon and shambo won some money on street tires. this is a cash payout race near orlando @ samsula mud hole. 10.00 to enter,kids 11 and under free. gates open at 4:00 pm races start at 6:30 so if anybodys coming to funday sunday and want to join in on the clay drags on sat let us know and i'll post more info.

Oh man, my wife is going to kill me but my kids will love me. Please more info.
 
this 4x4 clay drag race is located between orlando and new smyrna beach on hwy 44 in samsula fl. gates open at 4:00 sat june 6th. race starts 6:00- 6:30 it's a 200 foot race to beat the clock. apparently the type of tires doesn't matter, just ask shambo. this is a flat dirt/clay track, so the truck doesn't get too dirty. there is going to be 3 races in our area every month at 3 diffrent tracks. orlando speed world, mount dora sled track and samsula mud hole.we are going to try to sponsor some of these events,for the locals diesel community in hopes to promote diesel racing in general.
