Most of you won't know him, but I found out a few days ago my Buddy, Dave Kropp, AKA: Buda, was found dead in his bed on Friday morning. Dave built my boat motors, and the motor in the ranger. If you were into drag racing in Austin or central Texas, Dave was the guy you wanted to build your stuff.
Years ago he built Big Daddy Don Garlitts motors, back when Garlitts was kicking ass.
He was a contancerous, grumpy, sob on the outside but a good guy and I considered him a good friend. I'm not a big religious guy and neither was Dave so instead of a prayer I ask that you hold up a cold beverage, Dave's favorite was whiskey,and give a shout out to "Buda"! He would have wanted it that way.
You will be missed, you mean son of a b!tch! I know wherever you are you are probably yelling at someone cause they aren't doing it right and then showing them how its supposed to be done. :thankyou2: Cheers buddy!
