What diameter/wall thickness are you guys using for drive shafts on a 3.0 truck? Drop box and rear is set up for 1610 joints and the front is set up for 1480 joints.
I want to build it right the first time so I can eliminate broken parts as much as possible.

Thanks for your help

My rear shaft is 4x.095" with SPL 100 joints. My front is 1480 and 3.5 x .083" I don't know if this is the "right answer" but its working well for me.

This is the most cost effective set-up in my opinion. Will be more than enough to handle 3.0, Prostock or SS. Hell I am still running 1480/1550 in mine although the 1550s are billet.

My rear shaft is 4" .134 wall with 1610 joints. My front is 4" .095 with 1480 joints. And I'm running a 2wd nv4500 to drop box with a 3.5" .083 wall tube with 1480 joints. Have not had a chane to run it yet but it should hold up just fine, I'm hoping anyways. Lol

Ryan, I’m also running the drop box behind a 2wd nv4500. Haven’t gotten all the drop box mounted yet tho. Do you have pics of your setup?
