Well I'm thrilled with how it tows. Pulls harder than the idi, and it doesn't get above 180 degrees even with no fan. Egts won't even go above 1200! Got the t case shifter hooked up so that makes it a little easier on a hill, throw it in low, then once I'm moving shift to high.
Oh never posted my exhaust setup. I chopped up the downpipe and welded on a 90 degree bend, stainless clamp, 10 for piece of 4 inch straight pipe, and a tailpipe from a 2005 cumapart dodge!
Turned up the fuel screw a little more. Really moves now. It'll boost to 26psi. Only thing I can't figure out is it'll wind up to 18 at about half throttle, then almost "hit a wall", if I give it a hair more throttle it'll spike to 26 and take off like it was kicked in the ass. Any ideas what that may be?
Pulled like a freight train. With the pump up more it'll actually hit 1300 degrees if you really try. 26 psi of boost and the temp crept up to 200 really under load. Pulled it amazing. Also tested it the true tracs, they worked flawless! 2nd gear low range, turbo lit and I had to keep my erection from getting caught in the wheel...
Well, first pull in the work stock I messed up and ran 5th instead of 3rd... slipped the clutch about 70 feet then it caught and chugged another couple to 119 feet. luckily after the 2.6 trucks pulled they let me hook again. That means the sled was maxed out... used 2nd low range. Hooked right up and dragged it 272 feet! I was pretty stoked to do that well in that class. In work stock I probably would have done pretty good.
Clocked about 450 miles this weekend. No issues and pulls harder every hill. It'll keep going as much as I push the skinny pedal, but now it'll climb the egts some. I like it no higher then 1200 so I'd downshift and it'd stay at 65 to keep it in check. I think a little better flowing turbo I'll achieve my goal of not having to downshift. Haha. Coolant temps never above 205 even on long hill climbs. True trac dug in the sand nice too!
