Samson's Diesel Performance is looking into having a dyno day in late spring early summer. I'm just trying to see how many people would be interested in showing up. Also any input or suggestions for the day would be greatly appreciated. Thanks James.

^^^^ Yeah, what he said..

Hey Chad, Just got my new Dual Feeds and swapped out my Full Cuts for some 191's . And it started at -3* this am without plugging it in on the 370's

Were in Westport about 30 min. from Providence, 1hr south from Boston.

there is talk of a dyno day at dez racing in seekonk this spring just FYI. What kind of dyno does samson have?

dez has a dyno jet doesn't load diesels well at all. but if you're looking for unrealistic numbers you won't put down anywhere else it's good. i had a truck make 435 there and 328 on a superflow. no offense to him he uses it for the mustangs to measure gains. we are trying to buy a mustang dyno but if we don't have it soon i'm planning on renting a portable for the day.

Mikes' numbers are pretty clost to Dunbar's Dyno as i ran 497 on his and 504 on Dunbars.

dynojet 248C is pretty much the standard for dynoing trucks in the country. I think alot of people would disagree with your statement about "unrealistic numbers":bang
Tim, Dunbar has a 248 as well just in mobile form hence the close hp numbers:ft:

We will see how the 5.9 does in comparason to the 7.3 on a couple of test runs.

well there was procharged vette that made 575 on a mustang and 698 on a dyno jet, and like i said same truck same setup 5 days apart 435----328 ? regardless i personaly don't like inertia dyno's tuning for a dyno jet and tuning for the street are very different in the gas world.

I gotta say the HP numbers Dez's Dyno puts out are dead nuts with the track times your expected to run with a given HP level. If it were a hundred or so HP off the track times would be consistent with that.

dynojet 248C is pretty much the standard for dynoing trucks in the country. :

That statement is a stretch.
They seem to be the standard for drag racers, and shops that tune ricer gasser trash, and do Diesels as a goof.

They are very unrealistic when you throw the BIG TQ at them. However, when your customers are looking for big numbers, the Dyno Jet is KING!!!

And remember, dyno fans, I have never heard of anyone complain the Dyno was reading HIGH that day........:eek:wned::hehe:

I have dynoed on Dunbars,Kaufmans,Dez's and alot all over this country with diesels as I was the first one to use mikes dyno in 2000 with a cummins.I have also dynoed mustangs blown mustangs from 500h.p to 1200 with dez and every time I have left his shop before we hit the track always asked him what do you think it will run and it is dead on so they dont lie.Dynoed on a mustang and the hp is off compared to the track. You will not find a better guy to dyno with then Dez he has catered to all the Diesel guys since the begining with whatever we needed and Mo spoke with contest to that with his Ford

i'm not saying anything bad about mike i talk to him all the time and he does a lot of work for my friends, he uses the same dyno every day of course he knows what a car is going to run based on what it puts down on his dyno. last time i tuned a lightning with mike we didn't bother with putting it on the dyno because it didn't light the turbo the same and the a/f was off. we scanned and logged it while we drove up and down rte.6 and mustang dyno's seem to be right on with real world conditions, sure the last mustang i did didn't even make 350 hp but it went 11.70 off the trailer first time the guy ever went tothe track. and it weighed 3400 lbs.

i'm also not trying to start a pissing contest over what dyno to use or who to go to. we do a lot of dmax work, and more work is showing up every day, just thought we could have some fun and invite guys down and make an event of it and show some potential new customers the shop and what we can do.

no problem man, just relating past experiences with dez and 248's in general. It does seem 248's do the same anywhere you go, I have done a few runs on different 248's and like Mo Smoke says there very close.
