Hell I dont know
Ok I understand that sometimes the optical sensors go bad and they cant read our tourque. If they can read Hp from the rollers and know the amount of load that is against the truck is it possible to read Hp from the speed of the rollers and not Tq? One of my buddies argue's me there is no possible way a dyno can read Hp and not read the Tq numbers. Any help?

Dynojets read HP, need a tach signal to calculate Torque.

Load dyno's (Mustang, Superflow) read Torque and calculate HP based off the load/weight corellation

Thanks Greg, But how do you get a Hp reading without Tq. Dont you need the Tq to show the Hp?

A Dynojet measures HP by the speed of the drum (known constant weight) over time. It can only CALCULATE the torque if it has an engine rpm signal.
