One more question. Bear with me. My brothers truck is an 98.5 24V 5sdp. Ive always understood that the cam sensor relocation bracket was not needed on the early trucks, and assumed the sensor was not existant. So, once I saw that there was cam sensor I had him call Haisley and make sure that he needed it and order it if that was the case, which it was. So tonight I put the timing case back on and as Im tightening the cam retainer I hear the cam sensor crack. Low and behold the sensor broke away from its hold down bolt. Now do I just make a block off plate for the hole on the back of the timing case and leave the sensor unplugged or? Why is there a cam sensor since theres no tone ring on the back of the cam gear. And to think I thought I knew what I was doing.

Just block it off or get the original 12 tdc pin and bolt back on to the gear case.

Thanks. My 02 conversion went smooth as silk. Ill post up a video once its running.
