Ive got a 95 dodge with 47RH. its got some computer stuff on the firewall which Im assuming was just for controlling the shift points for the lockup and overdrive. Anyone know if thats right?
Im sure its possible to run the truck without that module if I manually shifted lockup and overdrive with switches but is there anything else the PCM does that I need to worry about? Like voltage regulation or heater relay engagement?

It would run...

But the PCM controls the alternator, the grid heaters, the AC compressor, most of the gauges, cruise...
