EDGE Comp Install question?

With the Edge Comp box they sent a Boost Elbow. Do any of you install it? I've heard of so many people just chucking it? What do you guys think? Does it regulate pressure?

if it's a HY turbo then chuck it ( no place to put it)

HX or bigger then use it.....depending on Boost pressures

by using it,...it will give you around 8-10psi extra

It's a 98.5 24V..Dude no clue what Turbo. Never even looked under the hood?

if it's a stock turbo on an auto you can't use it. If it's a standard than you should use it or you'll keep throwing an overboost code (I think)

It has a small pin hole in it that supposedly (or what I've been told) allows the pressure to go slightly over the preset limit until the wastegate regulates it without throwing the over boost code...which is manipulated by the boost fooler in the Comp anyways. $.02 Some have a preset hole and others are adjustable with a set screw which are touchy as hell so don't mess with it.

OK a nudder question..With this Elbow..if it is run with no box(stock) will it cause the truck to be sluggish?

Nada. It just holds the WG closed longer. Wont notice the diff in terms of sluggish. Might trip an overboost code though.
