my cheezy homebrew.....
the plate is off set on the side panels to split the gap between the holes of the shank. if one is too much, turn it over.....

If its a circle I think 3.5" but you can also do an oblong hole that is 3"x3.5" IIRC

correct on the sizing.

Hole sized needs to be 3 3/4" long for an NTPA hook to fit that is on most sleds now.

these eyes are machined out to 3.5" in length
