Anyone have an opinion on engine coolant heaters for cold winter starts - considering Espar, Webasto, or the like. What experiences has there been as far as reliability?
Thanks for your input.

I have heard nothing but good things about the espar.

this sounds interesting, what would something like this cost? i saw a big rig unit for $2k

Check this out Espar hydronic4. You can find a dealer through Espar's website. Espar has a kit specifically for dodge/cummins trucks, it uses the Hydronic4 model.

Sounds like it would be not far from $2k if installed by dealer. Is this a Saturday DIY? Ever heard how reliable the remote option is? Do all come with 7 day 24 hour timer?

i have buddys that have the espars and they have trouble with them. my webasto is greqt so far had it for two years .

Was looking into an espar unit in the future.

Why is webasto better and what is the cost?
