Familiar with the DT466E?

Hello, we just got a new to us 98 International 4900 with a DT466E. I just wanted to get some knowledge on this engine as far as known problems, any special maintenance that is needed, things to look our for/check on them, that kind of stuff.

I'm relatively new to them so all the info would be great.

Generally, they're very trouble free. The Cam position sensor is about the only one that has history of going out. Then, the injector Orings are the #1 issue, from what I've seen. Use the correct coolant, not the stuff for a car, but stuff specifically for a truck. There's a difference in the SCA(Supplemental Coolant Additive). If not, the water can cause rust pits on the cylinder liners, and make you do an early in-frame rebuild. Nearly everyone I talk to say they're way underpowered(considering the technology they have). Last note, keep up on oil changes. I think that's about it.
