Free rev poping

I took it out after I finally got my right 4 to 3 boot for my turbo. I went out and did some launches in the dirt and after 3 grand it smooths out and I took it up past four and let it go and it ran fine. One thing I can say with it is I love this thing compared to my 24v I had cant wait to hook it to a sled and see how it does thanks guys.
 
my friends 97 does this at around 2700,poping while under a load and everything. he's got a 10 plate. we are thinking it needs gov. springs?
 
Yea but mine only does it when bringing it up to rpm to launch runs fine say if you have in in gear and just lay into it at 1800 will go right up to four perfect.
