I was wondering if anyone by chance knows the filter cross reference numbers for the Baldwin filters that fit the AirdogII 165; or is there a clause in the waranty that says that we must run the Airdog filters. Thanks in advance.

BF1275 is the f/w sep, and a better f/w swp than what comes on the AD.

For the final its a BF7634, but the Donaldson P551315 is a better filter.

Why is the BF1275 and the Donaldson P551315 better than what comes with the airdog?

The Baldwin BF1275 (AD says they are switching to this filter) is rated for 99% free water, 96.5% emulsified water sep at 120 GPH. The filter supplied with the AD is 95% free water and 75% emulsified water sep at 90 GPH. OEM is 98% free and 95% emulsified water sep at 60 GPH (higher than the OEM pump pushes).

The FF5613 is 5um absolute and 2um at 94% at 60 GPH, the P551315 is 3um absolute at 90 GPH.

We need a sticky with a list of all the air dog models, and the best filters for each one.

So will the Airdog still function correctly with the more efficient Baldwin and Donaldson filters? ... Air separation and flow rate will be the same?

Mine has been running fine for 5k miles now since i switched to them.

I would think it would work better as you have filters that are rated to flow closer to what the pump is flowing, versus a much lower rating on the standard filters.

AFIK the air separation is not part of the filters, but pump design so that shouldn't be effected either.

Where is the best place to get a Donaldson filter? Or who deals in them?

Good info, I am out of filters and was looking for better ones. Baldwin and Donaldson it is.

Not sure what the verdict is on Fleetguard filters but those that work on Airdog's are the FF5613 2-micron Stratapore and FS19768 Water Separator.

FF5613 is a 5um filter absolute, not 2um. The FS19768 is rated at 20 GPH, 50% free water sep and 0% emulsified water sep and should NEVER be used. AD no longer uses it, and it's worse than any OEM filter setup available.

Thanks for the info! So I suppose if I were to just buy replacements from Airdog, they would provide the best filtration and separation possible?

One would think, but I don't believe so.

Baldwin BF1275 and Donaldson P551315 are the best.

Which filter are you using for the final?

Does Baldwin still use a multipass rating, and not the single pass rating that Cummins/Bosch spec?
