So it was late last night and I decided to get motivated to put the main shaft back together.

These detents are the most difficult when it's just you in the shop and you are jabbering on the phone with CompD family member hondarider.

Interesting...do you need any special tools to tear into one like that? I've got two bad G56s that I need to make one good one out of.

You are a much better man than I!!!! I have 2 completely disassembled Eaton 13 sp trannys at work to rebuild.......last thing I would wanna do it tear into one at home. :nono: Kudos to you sir. Lookin good.

Where are you located? Besides a puller that was modified, the only special tool would be the tool to measure bearing preload, and shim selection, which I have a guy at Dodge do for $200 or so. Figure I could pay them to do the job a few times before I buy the tool.

I did a twin countershaft last November. (Eaton Super 10) Same thing, just more time consuming, and more small cuts on your fingers. Lol. I appreciate the compliment bud.
