I took my gauge cluster face off yesterday or change the background of the lights. Today I put it back togather and now it has a CEL on with the gauges not reading correctly. I took it on a test drive and the Tachometer is real jumpy and never gets a above 1,500 RPM when I rev it. I believe when I reinstalled each gauges needles I didn't do something right. Is there a secret to getting these things to read right???

Here are some pics of the truck idling...

From the looks of it my oil pressure is way to high, tach is off and jumpy, my tank is completly full but I don't think it should be that full, and temp always sits a tab below 140 at start up.

Was the truck completely cold when you did it? Like sitting for 8 hrs plus? Could be that or something is loose on the backside. I know that plug is a very tight fit.

yes it was cold...

I turned the key to the on position with the gauge cluster out a couple times seeing if the lights would work I wondering if that caused the CEL to turn on.

*UPDATE*

All the gauges seem to be working now. I just drove it around my apartments. The CEL is still on though. I'm going to disconnect both negitive batteries and let it sit overnight.

What do those codes even mean? Most of them are a circuit malfunction.

Went out this morning and hooked both batteries back up and turn the key to the on position. The CEL is still on and now my Edge Comp has not power, fuse is good and cable into module is in.
