Gear swap

I've got a D80 with 4.10's and a posi waiting to be installed and have got a set of 4.10 gears to replace my 3.55's. I won't be able to do a locker at this time.

Question is how hard is it to change out gears? I am very mechanically inclined, but have never done gears before. I'd like to give it a try my self. Any info or incite would be appreciated.

Just make sure your pinion depth, pinion bearing preload, back lash, side bearing pre load is with in spec and use gear paint and check gear pattern when your done to be sure. some special tools required.

What speciel tools? I knoe I need a dial indicator. Does anyone know of a good website outlining the steps?
