I have a friend with a 04.5 Dodge crew cab dually 4x4 with a shortened length and on a diet it has a full built race motor dual cp3, 67mm and 104mm twins, dragonfly injectors and every part that industrial sells. he's got a 4r100 behind it b/c it use to be a 6speed, an atlas II transfer case and a gear vendor. The tranny has every part currently made for it that he can find and he owns a transmission shop down here. Does anyone make a larger diameter intermediate shaft or something stronger than the one suncoast sells. If anyone knows of any transmission parts that are stronger than suncoast can you please post it b/c he will spend the money if it increases the durability.

thanks

Nick

are those billet shafts known for breaking? Or is the install off somehow and that is causing breakage?

Something isn't letting go when something else is comming on. PCS controller?

Like psdplayer said might be engaging the next gear and not releasing the one before causing the bind.

Unless its in the build a 4r can not engage a clutch while another is on, kinda why it is a good tranny to have.

I would talk to Brian at BTS and get his thoughts but I also say cryo it for sure and make sure shifts are not shock loading the shafts too much with high line pressures.
