Recently made 471 hp with my VP truck with a stock charger. Drive it everyday, tow with it, and sled pull all summer. How many other high hp vp trucks with stock chargers out there.

That's pretty high. I never pushed mine really hard with an hx35. I made 420 with Edge juice and 100hp nozzles. I'm sure you're drive pressure is out the roof.

Yes these are all true. Just wondering what people have had go first. My turbo is in great shape. No play at all. Im making 40-45 lbs of boost. Stock head bolts and head gasket!

That.

and I really hope you have another turbo sitting on a bench at the house.

How are the 2000+ degree EGTs??

It may have no play today but I have seen a tight hx35 go boom with absolutely no warning. One good hit of high drive pressures and say goodbye to that charger.

471hp on a stock hx35 at 40-45psi

Must have been on the "mountain"...

I did 430hp uncorrected, at 48psi, and it wasn't very long before the compressor and exhaust wheels were no longer joined by a common shaft.

Aluminum melts at 1221 degrees Fahrenheit. Just so you know. I'd be worried about a piston (probably number 6)

What kind of dyno? Could be the 70 HP higher than the normal 400.

Those F1 mach7 injectors probably make it smoke like a pig. Your turbo will exit, stage left soon. I lost my hy35 turbo first then a hx 40 next. Overspun. With that much fuel and no air, you are looking at a turbo time bomb. Granted you have an hx35 and a stick shift, but the days are numbered.

Here's 461 on a modified HX35 with a 62mm compressor upgrade. Not a very temp or smoke friendly setup....

Here's the same setup with a wiff of nitrous, like 50 HP shot in the gasser world:
568 HP

And while it's show and tell, here's an HX35 compounded with a small HT60 for a total of 60-65 psi boost and still only 520HP.

Here's that same 461 HP HX35 truck running the first 330' or so on that same small nitrous shot that yielded 500+ HP. FYI, it melted a piston and blew the head gasket the very next pass

Im glad to hear everyones input. I dynoed in May with some cheap 150 hp sticks and made 427 hp and put 25 hooks on my truck this summer. The mach 7s cleaned it up a lot in may and I dont see much of a 2000 egt even with the amount of towing I do.

I did 475 on stock charger before it popped. Haven't been back on dyno since I replaced the turbo. I blew the hx40 two days after I installed it. Then I installed the 62.

Not another "I have the most bad ass sled puller, tow rig, work truck, race truck, panty dropper that makes 471 hp" thread.
