Hot August Nights Drag Races @ Reno-Fernley Raceway

They will be held on August 8-9th going from 1700-0100. All vehicles are welcome but it will primarily be hot rods as that is what Hot August Nights(H.A.N.) is all about.

Drivers: $30.00
Spectators: $5.00
H.A.N. participants are admitted to race/spectate fofree of charge, H.A.N. Badge must be displayed on vehicle. Details at:

Also, there is a dyno competition the 7th through the 10th in the Reno, NV Summit parking lot. If you run a dynomax exhaust its free to run, if not its $75.00 for 2 or 3 runs. Details @ www.summitracing.com. I'm not sure, but I heard a rumor that it may be booked already, last years "power to the wheels" competition was won by a twin turbo'd chevelle or nova(not sure, this is hearsay) @ 1500.XX RWHP.

This is one of the wildest drag races I have ever seen, anybody in the area should really consider going. Grudge races, passengers in 9 second cars, no roll cages, it even started raining and they kept racing!! Don't know if it has calmed down, but that's how it was a couple years ago.
