How much?

I know this is a stupid question, but how many quarts of oil for changing purposes. I go by the dipstick, but 13.5 seems to be correct on the stick, not 15. Thanks guys.

Your fine with 13.5-14qts. Normaly 1 quart is left in the engine inards making up the full 15 qts.

the HPOP holds a quart that apparently never drains when you drain the pan.
i find just under 14quarts fills mine.

if you get too much in youll feel some surging at steady <cruise control>
throttle on flat road....i SUSPECT its from the crank churning thru the
extra <higher level> oil in the pan.

Do you pull the filter first?

I warm it up, pull drainplug, then loosen filter and let drain for a long time.
