Hub dyno

At the World Ag Expo in Tulare, I saw a dyno attached to a PTO on a compound turbo tractor load it down to 1,400lb-ft at 1,600rpm, and since the drive was 2:1, it actually ended up being 2,800lb-ft at 800rpm.

So designed and operated properly, I don't see a problem running a hub dyno.
 
That's one of those video's you just know is going to go bad. I'm thinking the rig land and sea comes up with would be slightly more sophisticated!

I Youtube'd it, but I couldn't find a dyno like the one I saw in Tulare, that thing would be right up your alley, it took like 30 seconds to drag the tractor down, you could smell that engine heating up!

Wonder if that had happened before, or if the toughbook was just a coincidence lol
