Huge engine...but what's in the back?

They gave that Cat some meow, and the kitty didn't like it.. LOL
 
a D348 hmm looks like a 3500 series engine to me unless its the predessesor. I know the triple 7 is an old truck. I worked at the Cat plant in Lafayette where the 797 and the other smaller haul trucks engines are built. I built the big SOB I built the 3600 a 3616 mechanical diesel makes 10000 hp and 47000ft lbs of torque and they dyno test all the engines before they get sent out
