I need your help Ident..cylinder numbers???

Im so confused right now I have one person telling me this and the other telling me that>>???

the reason is,is I have a #5 injector out on me,, now tell me this when you are standing in the front of the truck cylinder #1 is the front passenger side cylinder (or the left bank)??? or is it the drivers side??? Im so lost right now and Im goin crazy!!!

1,3,5,7 on passenger side and 2,4,6,8 on driver side. #1 and #2 are the front injectors on each side.

Yup.

The only time that doesn't work is on a transverse motor I guess.

I got a Taurus that I did a head gasket job on and I was looking in the book a few days later. The back cylinders are 1, 2, and 3 and the front are 4, 5, 6. I thought the back would be 1,3, 5 and the front 2, 4, 6.

First time I have worked on a V front wheel drive engine.

Actually, most Ford gassers are numbered that way... 1234, 5678 But whatever... at least you have your numbers!
