Hooking up a two prong switch for the TQ lock up and wanted to put a indicator light on the dash. As far as I can tell the switch is to ground so if I hook up power to the light and the ground to the Acc side with the TQ wire it should come on when ground is applied! My question is I think the ground wire for the light will try and find ground thru the TQ wire so this would be bad! Would a one way diode stop the flow back thru the TQ wire? Or would it also be a pass thru for ground?

The answer is YES! It will use the wire for ground but on a positive note I now know when my TQ is locked! The light comes on when the computer locks the TQ! Pretty cool!

Two Prong covered switch flip cover up switch up and on. One prong to Ground.
Light Pos to Ign on 12v supply.
Light Neg to other prong with another wire going to Tranny Yellow with Light Blue stripe with 33ohm diode.
Works great!
