Installed my Flashtech HIDS last night.

4300K puts out the the most lumens but generally still has a Yellow tinge to it. 6000K is the best compromise of the whitest light while still maintaining a good lumen output. The higher up the K scale you go the lesser lumen output is.
 
im pretty sure 3000k is yellow, i know 6000k is blue and 5000k should be white with a slight blue tint. My bad tho the 4300 are the brightest basically pure white. The reason i got the 5ks was in my mind a good compromise being very bright and almost pure white with that little bit of blue.
 
My 6ks are white with hardly any noticeable blue but of course this can all be attributed to variances in different manufactuers ratings.
 
i also think The look of blue depends on from where you look at it it.
looking ahead from in the cab its white,
looking at an oncoming vehicle with HID, it might look blue
IMO
