Installing Gauges

i want to intall my gauges above the mirror

any problems with extending the original wires that wouldnt be long enough?

would it change the resistance and reading? i dought it myself


like my new fuel press gauge with electric sender. has connector on both ends. i would have to cut it in the middle and make it longer

I don't see how there would be any difference. Especially from a resistance standpoint.
For example 16AWG wire has a resistance of about .005 ohms per foot. so you would have to add 100 feet just to add 1/2 ohm of resistance.

Don't do it with a pyro.

i did it with a bullydog pyro, soldered some lamp cord in to lengthen it for an above mirror install. whehn comparing to a before (riding dash) and after, it was the same. still works just fine 120k later.
