Just bought twins

I just bought Morse's twin set up and his 90 hp injectors for my 05. Lookin forward to puttin them on and making some power. My plan is to put on a glacier diesel pump upgrade and a tsmp8 with my crazy larry. I am hoping for a good powerfull driver that I can still tow with and go to the track. Any thing else I should be looking at? As the truck sits with the stock turbo and fuel system, I have ran a 13.70, I am hoping with the new set up to be in the high 12's, guess we'll see.

One thing I think I will change on the twin set up is the hx 40 exhaust housing. He has an 18 cm housing and I think it may be to laggy for everyday driving and towing without allot more fuel than I will have. I think I want to put on a 14cm housing. Does any one know where to get a 14 housing or if some one has one they want to get rid of?

I have an HX40(18cm) B2 twin setup and it spools nearly perfect for a DD... I don't know that I would give up your 18cm just yet... just my opinion. I had Tim Barber adjust my valve body to make the low throttle shifts around 2200rpm and the way its setup now the twins will spool no problem in 1st gear and don't seem laggy at all.

Yours was a 16cm housing when I had it Lavon;)

I have a 14cm housing for an HX40...you'll have to change the hotpipe flange for it though...the 14cm HX40 housing is different that the rest!

How difficult is it to change the hot pipe flange? Sorry if that is a dumb question. If you use a 16cm housing do you have to change the flange? Do you think spooling the 18 will be difficult?

Ok, I'd say your right Chris. I remember you and Brandon arguing about it a long time ago. I wonder how much better a CR will spool a charger then a VP truck?

My bro has the TST stacked with the BDDL, it is awesome! I just don't like pressure boxes as I've seen too many injectors pop. He ran the BDDL/ez stack for a while & had to replace 6 injectors. He actually gets lower egts with this stack than the ez stack...especially while towing 15k#. Have you thought about a Airdog system? They are nice units.

Thanks for the advise, I have been looking at the TST as well. I am not sure which is better, Morse used a mp8 with this twin set up on the low setting with crazy larry and he said it worked great. I am not set on the GDP fuel system, the only reason I thought of going with it is because you don't have this big pump with filters to mount on the outside of the frame.

Lavon,
I am curious on how the cr will spool the 18 as well, especially since I will not have 200 hp injectors and as much fuel as the truck they came off of. I guess I will have to see

Any other thoughts on this set up and my plans?

You'd have to cut it off and re-weld a new one on...or build a new one. The hotpipe is probably one of the easiest to build;)

A 16cm should be the same flange....but if it were me, I'd probably try the 18cm. A lot of the CR guys are using that one and are having good luck, but they do have more injector that you;) On my 12v, the HX40-16/B2 setup would be at 50psi @ 2000RPM...the 18 housing and HT3B could be a little slower, but I'll bet it'll still be very driveable!

Thanks for the advice. I think I will just run it the way it is and see how it works. Brad shipped them today, so I should see them next week. THen the fun begins.:ft:

Here is another question, when I add the 90hp injectors will I have enough fuel for them with out modifying the CP3? Do i need to modify the rail?

You dont need to mod the rail, the 90's will be fine with a stock pump untill you are asking them to make more than 600hp.

The turbos came two days ago:ft: I can't wait to start putting them on. They are alot bigger then I thought, especially the bottom turbo. Anyway, I hope I can spool them good on the street and still be able to tow with them. Let the fun begin.
