Just finished my 12v superduty swap!

Been driving my truck for a couple weeks now. Still got some kinks to work out but so far I love it. I bought my truck in Feb of 2011 with 96k on it. The dealership said they took the drivers head off to do headgasket so when I got it, it had quite a few issues. Replaced 2 injectors right off the bat, replaced they're sad excuse for a EGR Delete with another one, then ended up taking heads off to do headgaskets. The dealership screwed me over to say the least. Truck doesn't even have 110k on it yet! The piston you see in the pictures is in fact on the drivers side which is the head they took off, they sent me the truck knowing the engine was shot! Here's the specs of my truck and engine:

Truck:
04 F250 lariat FX4
under 109k when swap started

Engine:
94 ppump 12v
unknown miles
4k gov spring kit with 60lbs exhaust springs
hx35 turbo
ARP 12mm studs
all new gaskets and seals, only thing I didn't touch was cank, cam, and
internal pump
Grinded stock fuel plate to a #0
other free mods
I can't even remember what else I put into this engine lol

Still need injectors and to advance the timing.

Kept the Torqshift, used Precision torque converter which required replacing a spring in the pump.

The only issues I've had with the swap so far are oil leaks. I had to reweld the oil return on the turbo, the adapter for the oil pressure sender is leaking, and I think I have another leak somewhere that I can find. Plus I still have to tune the trans more.

Nice work! Putting it all in one single post makes it look like it was easy. My swap took 5 months of here and there work on evenings and weekends. But it sure is sweet when its done! Working the bugs out is the fun part if you ask me, since you get to drive it to find the bugs.

What kind of mpg are you guys getting? I'm lucky to see 15 right now...hoping injectors and timing will fix that in the future. Mine took just over 2 months and thats only working on it on the weekends and some nights. Plus waiting on a lot of stuff from destroked.

Looking good. I have 02 super duty with 12v in it, best truck and engine to go with. I drive it every day, love it more then my bmw.

You'll love it I get 18-19 all around driving, I have got 20.4 driving 62 on cc
1 ton dually about 9000#

I parted out the engine, you know anyone looking for 6.0 stuff? lol I think I got an injector miss and I may even have timing off, hopefully after christmas I can get some tweaking done to my truck to get the mpg where it should be!
