Longbed to shortbed conversion

I've got a customer that wants me to make his 97 extra cab longbed a shortbed. Never done a Dodge so what am I getting myself into. Besides the obvious bed change what all has to be done to make it work? Any tips, short cuts, or things I should look out for would be appreciated. I've done a few old Fords and they were pretty straight forward.

In search, look under short bed build. there are a couple there but they
are std cab trucks. I did mine but its a 05 std cab.

Not hard, you won't have to switch gas tanks like on a regular cab. Second bed mount becomes the front mount.

pm me your email and i will send you a write up i did for me when i did mine. none of the pictures are mine but i gathered as much information and pictures between cf and comp d to help. mine is a single cab but i am sure the same rules will apply to your extended cab.
