I'm reading this thread while taking a huge smelly dump.
Since you're reading this thread while taking said dump, does that mean Wade had a hand in the design and completion of said dump?
Back on topic, I would suppose these blocks are hot honed?
I ask because particularly in the diesel world, every guy is setting up different and it would be hard to hot hone, not knowing what temps you will be staging at, launching at and trapping at. Especially considering what effect the aluminum block will have on the thermal distortion vs a stock block
The block weighs 220 pounds with the caps and hardware installed.
Here is the 220lb aluminum block from LSM the company that makes both steel and aluminum cummins blocks.
If someones looking to purchase one contact
Ron Wahl at LSM
Can also be bought for $12,000 straight from LSM
The standard bore sleeves are already installed. Finish honing is included...Hot
honing is an additional $600.00. Cam bearings are not included in the price.
Obviously somone didnt want to post the LSM picture with the logo on it.
The block pictured doesn't seem worth 12k more than a filled block.
