Max spring pocket width on 12 Valve

How far is too far before your run into issues? Im Leaning towards a ~1.600 max to be able to look at higher spring pressures of duals or Beehives.

With 1.550 pockets you are getting into the valve cover rail on some heads. That being said 1.6 is only .025" bigger per side which isn't a lot

Hard to say at this point. Im using a slim Viton seal to have options open to me for duals. I went though tonight and measured all my spring heights and they range from 1.963 to 1.986 Shimming has to be done too. But I have more then enough stem to lower lock clearance for my cam lift.
 
we do 1.55 on allot of heads and certain times you can get into the valve cover rail just a little. Usually just towards mid to base of it. you could kind of set you spring into the general position and set a valve cover on to see if it clears the inside of the vc.
